When reading the novel The Help by Kathryn Stockett, I’ve noticed that she writes Aibaleen's
Speech much differently than the white folks. Words are incorrectly spelled, pronounced, and words
are shortened. Stockett uses phonetic speech. It almost seems as if the author is trying to feed into
the stereotype of black folks being uneducated or not as educated as white folks.
